Story

Karo Richter, a piano tuner who is blind, has financial difficulties and needs to rent out a room to students. The prospective lodger waiting on the staircase to her apartment the next day shows some strange behaviour. Karo perks up her skilled ears and realizes the guy is a thief. The more she finds out, the more she puts herself in grave danger, since Georg Taler has no real interest in the room. He is a murderer who broke out of prison. And while police swarm the streets below Karos apartment, Georg has no use for another witness. But Karo has one ace in the hole that Georg is not aware of.
